Blockade is a board game for one player against the AI. The goal is to bring all your pieces home before the AI does.
The app won't open / crashes on startup
Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the issue persists, restart your device. Make sure your operating system is up to date. If the problem continues, please contact us with your device model and OS version.
There is no sound
Check that your device is not on silent mode. On iPhone, make sure the physical ring/silent switch on the side is not set to silent (no orange showing). Also check that the volume is turned up. Inside the app, tap the speaker icon in the top bar to make sure sound is enabled.
The game doesn't end even though all pieces are in the goal
The game ends when all 10 pieces of one player (both colors combined) have reached the goal lane. Make sure all pieces of both your colors are inside the colored goal lane – not just near it. Pieces only count once they have entered the goal lane from the track.
I can't select a piece to move
You can only select pieces that have a valid move. If all your pieces are blocked by other pieces on the destination fields, no move is possible and the turn passes automatically. Try rolling and looking for the dashed highlight circle – it shows which pieces can be moved.
What does "Roll again on a 6" mean?
When this optional rule is enabled (checkbox on the start screen), rolling a 6 and successfully moving a piece earns you an extra turn. If you roll a 6 but cannot move any piece (all are blocked), the bonus turn is forfeited.
How do lives work?
Each player starts with 3 lives. Every time a player cannot make any move (fully blocked), they lose 1 life. If all pieces of one color reach the goal lane, the owning player gains +2 lives as a bonus. If a player reaches 0 lives, they lose immediately regardless of piece positions.
Does the app require an internet connection?
No. Blockade is fully offline. No account, no internet, no data collection. You can play anywhere, anytime.
How do I delete my data?
The app stores no personal data anywhere. All game state is kept locally on your device. To remove all data, simply delete the app from your device.
Is the app free?
Yes, Blockade is completely free to download and play. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads.
